DELUXE FLOCKING KIT
Will cover 5 - 7 dozen Bigfoots

This black flocking is the closest thing to real feathers in both color and texture. These "velvet feathers" actually absorb light. The perfect finish for Canada goose heads and tails.

Kit comes complete with oil-based adhesive, brush, mini-flocker applicator, and flocking.
The kit sells for $75.00

I dare you to find this kit cheaper!
Apples for apples, this is the best buy on the market.

HEAD / TAIL FLOCKING INSTRUCTIONS (Included in Kit)

NOTE: Preparation is KEY to making the fibers stick permanently. DO NOT overlook these steps.

This black flocking is as close as it gets to real feathers. Flocking absorbs light and will not shine. It is the perfect color and texture.

1. Clean surface of decoy head and tail with soap and water. Sand surface thoroughly providing a good surface for physical adhesion. (Leave the white patch and the bill on the Canada goose head painted. If you need to touch up the white, use Rustoleum Flat White - available in your local department store.)

2. I recommend a spray-on bonder such as XIM Primer-Sealer-Bonder (400 Clear) available at your local paint store. This preps the cracks where you cannot sand.

3. Stir (DO NOT SHAKE) the adhesive in the can. Apply a generous, even coat of adhesive with the brush supplied in the kit. Do not apply adhesive to white patch on the Canada head or on the bill.

4. Get a large box or a large plastic tote to apply fibers onto head. This allows you to capture and re-use excess fibers. I mount the head onto a metal stake which can then be put into a pre-drilled 2 x 4 which becomes a stand. Very liberally, spray the fibers onto the head with the "mini-flocker"
applicator immediately after the adhesive has been applied. Gently "pat" the fibers into the adhesive.

5. Let dry for 10-15 hours and then shake loose excess fibers into box or tote. Keep head warm - do not let the head freeze.

If your heads get dirty, just use a hose to spray dirt off. The flocked head will last for many years, but will occasionally need to be touched up. Save left-over adhesive and fibers for touch-up. You can also touch up the fibers themselves with Krylon Ultra Flat Black spray paint.

HINT: Don't be afraid to apply to the body/neck area of the Decoy. I like to get rid of the straight line where the body meets the head. Look at a real goose for ideas. You can also add some "flecking" over the flocking with white paint if you wish.
