Made by the master himself, Randy Bartz - "The Flagman" With the appearance of live geese in the air landing or stretching their wings on the ground, Bartz created the illusion of real geese moving over and in the decoys. These flags are the most popular, least expensive, and most effective motion decoy available to modern waterfowl hunters. * * * * * * * * * * Whenever possible, closely observe and study the movement of geese as they land on the ground. To use your pole kite/flag, raise the pole into the air and "jig" the tip of the rod. This should cause the wings to move in a slow flying motion very similar to the actual wing movement of a goose. Also note - when geese touch down they become close to being vertical. You can duplicate this position by adding some split shot to the tail of the kite and then suspending the kite, slowly lowering it to the ground.
